Teacher Educator loans

The Willoughby-Eastlake Public Library welcomes teachers and educators to use its facilities and services by offering extended loan periods. The library strives to better serve the teachers/educators in the community and to meet their educational needs.

Who is eligible?
Teachers in private/public institutions, nursery/day schools, home educators and education majors are eligible for the teacher/educator loan card.

How do teachers/educators receive this card?
Teachers and educators can apply for a teacher/educator loan card which is kept at the agency where the loan is generated. In addition to personal identification, other verification may be requested.

How long is the extended loan period?
Teachers/educators may borrow items for 42 days with no renewals.

How many items may be charged out on a teacher/educator card?
A maximum of 50 WEPL items may be charged out on the card. (Holiday/Subject materials limited to 10.)

What items may be charged out on a teacher/educator loan card?
The loan is for educational related materials. These materials may be in print, musical CD's/cassettes, books on CD/cassette, fiction/non-fiction DVD's and videos.

What happens if an item is lost or damaged?
The teacher/educator is responsible for all lost or damaged materials charged to their card. (No Fines)

The teacher/educator loan card may be discontinued if the purpose of this service is not being met and/or for repeated instances of overdue, lost or damaged materials.

*The library reserves the right to limit types of materials or number of items per subject charged out on the teacher/educator loan card. Requests are only filled by WEPL Libraries – Willowick, Eastlake, Willoughby and Willoughby Hills.
